The children arrived back to Nursery in January with rosy cheeks, big smiles, and that unmistakable new-year buzz that fills the rooms with energy. After the Christmas break, it didn’t take long for everyone—new starters and returning children alike—to settle back into the rhythm of nursery life.

Our newest little learners have made an amazing start. They’ve embraced their routines with confidence, curiosity, and plenty of enthusiasm. From exploring their new environment to forming those first precious friendships, they’ve shown such resilience and joy. It’s been heartwarming to watch them find their feet, discover favourite activities, and join in with the fun as if they’ve always been part of the First Steps family.

The excitement after the Christmas break was impossible to miss. Children bounded through the doors ready to play, create, and explore. Whether they were diving into imaginative play, getting messy with arts and crafts, or joining in with group activities, their engagement has been fantastic. The rooms have been filled with chatter, laughter, and that wonderful hum of busy little minds at work.

👋 Meet the Team: Introducing Caroline
At the helm of First Steps Nursery is Caroline, our dedicated nursery owner. While she spends much of her time working behind the scenes from home—managing the business, planning ahead, and keeping everything running smoothly—Caroline pops into the nursery a couple of times a week to catch up with the team and soak up the warm, busy atmosphere.
Caroline brings a blend of creativity, leadership, and genuine care to the nursery. When she’s not supporting the team or working on the business side of things, she’s an avid keep-fit fan. You’ll often find her at the gym, enjoying a swim, or out exploring the beautiful Dorset coastline on foot. Her love of the outdoors and active lifestyle brings a refreshing energy to everything she does.
Here’s to a year filled with curiosity, kindness, and countless magical moments at First Steps Nursery. The journey has only just begun, and it’s already shaping up to be a brilliant one!
